Le Colonial is probably Asia’s oldest colonial house- dating back to 1506 and belongs to Neemrana Group of Hotels. It is reputed to have housed Vasco da Gama and, as the only grand European-style house near the new church, it was also used by St. Francis.
This 16th century colonial home is now run as one of the heritage hotels in Cochin by Neemrana. All efforts have been made to maintain the old charm of Le Colonial while ensuring more than the basic comforts that have come to be associated with the changes in lifestyle since the 16th century.

Walk out to the ancient Chinese fishing nets to experience how lanterns are used to attract and catch the fish at night. Le Colonial also hosts anniversaries, birthdays and other memorable occasions.
The private pool is situated at the front of the colonial home surrounded by a sun-deck. The relaxing effect of the greenery and the shade of the banyan tree makes it a perfect venue to unwind and rejuvenate the tired urban body and soul.
At Le Colonial, broadly it serve a South-Indian cuisine with a few Continental or Oriental dishes at random, to suit a range of tastes and palates. Italian and Chinese dishes are often added to enrich the range of buffet spreads.
The meats and sea-food are procured on a regular basis. We prefer not to deep freeze our foods for long durations or for non-seasonal offering.
The 16th century colonial home can hold small conferences throughout the year. With a private pool to detox your people from the world, there is more history, and many more sunsets by the sea than can be digested in just one visit.
