The Orang National Park is spread across 78 sq. kms in the Darrang and Sonitpur Districts. The Orang National Park is very similar to the Kaziranga National Park and is thus also known as the mini Kaziranga Park. Both the parks have similar landscape with marshes, streams and grasslands. The Great Indian One-Horned Rhinoceros can also be found in the Orang National Park.

Orang National Park sees several migratory birds coming every year such as the White pelican, Adjutant stork, Shelduck, Mallard, King fisher and Woodpecker. Several animals live in this park such as the royal Bengal tiger, Leopards, Indian pangolins, Civets, Pygmy hogs etc. in the park.

The best time to visit the Orang National Park is during the months of October to March. The nearest town to the national park is Tezpur located 56 kilometres. Guwahati is located at a distance of 135 kilometres from the national park.
